Ellen Reid (b. 1990, North Carolina) is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Virginia. Reid has studied, lived, and worked nationally as well as internationally. Her work explores corporeality, data, movement, language, and poetics. Reid has been awarded residencies at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts in Amherst, Virginia, and at the MoversLab with André Soares and Miranda Markgraf in Berlin, Germany. Recent exhibitions include Exchanged 4, and Untitled Potential: Artworks Gallery in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Fata Morgana: FAB Gallery in Richmond, Virginia. Reid has also been published for her visual art, poetry, and performances in The Breeze Publication, The Good Bread: Non Fiction, Poetry and Photography Publication, and TheBurg Magazine; Lynchburg News & Advance’s Weekly Entertainment Guide.
